Who Are We?
Welcome to EuroNintendo, a website dedicated to Nintendo gaming in Europe.

For years, the internet has been dominated by gaming websites delivering news from America, and mentioning European affairs as a footnote, but EuroNintendo is trying to change that. The site is aimed to the European gamer, with news, reviews and features aimed at a European audience, and not getting you hyped about games that may never reach these shores. We give you all the latest news that will affect you in Europe, and preview and review games that are destined for European shores or are already out in Europe. We also cover every major European games event, although we make an exception for the amazing E3 each year due to its global nature. So, take a look around the site, and enjoy!

A Brief History
The site launched on the 29th June 2007 after around 4 months of testing and a further 2 months of preliminary testing.

The original idea of a website was born on the 14th May 2005, when the site’s creator, Mr Nintendo, began an MSN Blog entitled Mr Nintendo, which quickly became popular on MSN, launching some features such as the Golden Gamepad Awards and Nintendo Question which still exist today. However, the blog quickly became limiting, and Mr Nintendo undertook a small HTML driven website, which ultimately failed due to a lack of, well, everything, and to be fair, it was rubbish.

The site moved to a new home on 6th April 2006, and quickly established itself as a decent Nintendo resource, renaming to Nintendo Connect 24 towards the end of 2006. With the Wii launch at the end of 2006, the decision was made to do away with a freebie content system, and go for the full site build, with the site planned to focus solely on Nintendo in Europe.

Nintendo Connect 24 closed on Wii Launch Night, and after that, Mr Nintendo began work on a brand new EuroNintendo website, designed and created fully by himself. The site was registered in February 2007, and on the 29th June, EuroNintendo officially launched, somewhat quietly. The site struggled to gain a hold online, and is still in this position today, but after a few redesigns, the site is looking better than ever. In June 2008, marking a full year since launch, EuroNintendo ‘re-launched’, with a new back-end for the Administration team, allowing smoother website editing, but also meaning old data could not be used. However, EuroNintendo is looking to the future, and with Nintendo going from strength to strength, EuroNintendo plans to follow.
