Monster Hunter comes to Wii with Wii Speak support
|
It’s fair to say the Wii somewhat struggles in the online department, but it seems Capcom is ready to remove that rule with their new game. Monster Hunter Tri sees you choosing monster bounties to go and hunt, and catch. Essentially you are a bounty hunter, but your bounties are massive monsters. At it’s heart, it is a RPG, but it also looks sharp and from reports, plays just as well.
The online aspect is the main feature here though, as us Europeans get the online mode for free, whereas in Japan they have a subscription fee. You can go online with anybody, friend codes or not, and using Wii Speak, create a group to take down the biggest monsters. Yes, this is an online game, which works, and has voice chat. Take note Nintendo, it can be done. This is looking extremely promising, so keep an eye on it as it’s launch approaches.

Anticipation

Yes, it’s an actual online game which works and has made use of Wii Speak. That should be reason enough to buy this Wii exclusive, but it also looks and plays fantastically well.

Monster Hunter Tri sees you working as a bounty hunter, collecting various bounties on the monsters that roam the land. The game is an action orientated RPG, and was extremely popular in Japan. It will also feature 4 player co-op online, with Wii Speak support. The game will come in 3 variations - on it's own, with the Classic Controller Pro, or with both the Classic Controller Pro and Wii Speak.
