Let's be honest, the BBC hasn't had the greatest record with releasing video games. However, it seems they're not giving up, and have today unveiled that they are looking into publishing new BBC games for both the Wii and DS.

The properties in question are Top Gear, Doctor Who and In The Night Garden (no, we don't know what that is either).

"We've been reactive to the market in the last few years," said Dave Anderson, Head of Multimedia Development at BBC Worldwide.

"There were a few opportunistic licensing deals, but we were largely aggregating and holding onto our properties to wait and see how the market developed."

We personally think that a Top Gear game would be fantastic if done right, and that a Dr Who game could also be superb. What do you think? Would you play a Top Gear or Dr Who game?
