   Iwata DS 2 comments 'misinterpreted'

Comments made about detailed graphics and motion sensing untrue say Nintendo

Last week, we recieved a translation from a Japanese newspaper that stated that Satoru Iwata had spoken about the next handheld Nintendo system, claiming it would have ""highly detailed graphics, and it will be necessary to have a sensor with the ability to read the movements of people playing".

However today, Nintendo have informed us that this was misinterpreted.

"Mr. Iwata did not make any comments regarding the functions of Nintendo's future hardware systems," said Charlie Scibetta, Nintendo of America's Senior Director of Corporate Communications. "The answer to the reporter's question was misinterpreted."

So it looks like we're no closer to learning what the future has in store for Nintendo.
